Western Region Gun Show & Event

Western Regional Report: November - December 2016

by Allison Hammes, December 1, 2016

Western Region Recruiter Representative

The end of the year is near and what a way to finish.  With the YUGE presidential victory, we are almost certain to have better days ahead for gun rights in this nation.  Voters sent a loud and clear message that our gun rights are not for sale and the Second Amendment prevailed.  The role recruiters played in this victory cannot be overstated.

While we are excited about the results of the election, we need to work even harder than before.  Unfortunately, it was not all positive news on Election Day.  California, Nevada and Washington all passed anti-gun measures.  Now that we have a pro-gun administration in DC, it’s time to seize this victory and expand our Second Amendment rights.  NOW is the time to go on the offensive for future generations and we will need to continue to recruit new members to do so.

Thanks to all of your hard work, we’ve had another outstanding recruiting year.  Almost all of your yearly membership totals have increased.  Below are a few of the largest increases in memberships compared to 2015:

  • Jerry Fritz + 600%
  • Bill Baum/NRA Members Council of Inland Empire + 200%
  • Cory Smith + 200%
  • Bill Peterson/Colorado Handgun Safety + 130%
  • Dave Hauge + 120%
  • Duane Carnes- 98 members in first year of recruiting

I will begin my heavy travel season again in January.  If you have problems or questions that you need me to address, please contact me before I spend a majority of my time on the road.  Thank you for all of your hard work and making this one of the best recruiting years ever.  Keep the momentum going as we head into 2017!
