On May 1st, the new membership rates go into effect for recruiters. New materials reflecting the updated rates will be available soon. Use this time before May 1 to sell multiyear memberships to make sure the member is getting a great rate.
Be sure to stay stocked up on supplies and well prepared when you attend gun shows. We have seen large numbers at gun shows to start the year. Bill Baum and the NRA Member’s Council of Inland Empire recruited 850 members at their first gun show this year while Paul Nelson and the NRA Member’s Council of Alameda County have already recruited 775 members.
Make sure to look over all applications after the member fills them out. Please ensure the handwriting is legible and all payment information is included (i.e. full credit card number and expiration date). If the applications are not legible or they are missing payment information they cannot be processed resulting in unnecessary delays.
Be on the lookout for new events to go to such as rodeos, outdoor shows, fairs, air shows, etc. Gun shows will always a great way to recruit members, however, the more events we can go to, the more members we can reach in this very important election year.
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
