Back to Basics: The Sales Process

Signing up a new NRA member is similar to selling any other good or service. Much like a sales person, you must convince the "buyer" that spending their hard earned money with you is of value to them. Following a basic sales process will result in increased membership signups and, ultimately, a stronger NRA!

NRA Club Recruiters had a very strong first half of the year. Many clubs have committed themselves to 100% NRA membership and sought out new opportunities for membership drives. There is no doubt these efforts contributed to the incredible first 6 months!

The politically charged atmosphere these last several months have led to Second Amendment supporters calling to mobilize, and NRA Instructor Recruiters answered. XI Recruiters stepped up their efforts and are up almost 12% this year. Let’s keep the momentum going and finish the summer strong, continuing to make a major positive impact on the NRA as we steamroll toward the mid-term elections!

We are halfway through 2018 and Central Show Recruiters are exhibiting more dedication and perseverance than ever before. In May and June alone our region recruited over 2,000 members. That brings our total members recruited well over 9,000 for the year so far!

We are officially halfway through 2018 and the Northeast Region has done a fantastic job so far this year—don’t lose steam now! With midterm elections coming up this fall, people will be eager to join and show their support. There are plenty of ways to make sure you’re properly prepared for the upcoming rush.

Southeast Regional Report: July - August 2018

The Southeast continues to impress in 2018. We are currently up 2% from 2017 with over 12,000 members recruited. Great job! As we enter the summer months, we must strive to stay ahead of last year. Summer shows are typically slower so we will have to work extra hard to secure those memberships. Life membership is still at $600, paid in full only; use that to your advantage!

Western Regional Report: July - August 2018

2018 is on track to be one of the best years ever for the Recruiting Department. This fall, we are likely to see an increase in gun show attendance and membership sign-ups. The political climate will also become livelier with developments following the recent Supreme Court nomination and the upcoming midterm elections.
