XI Category Report: September-October 2017

Instructor Recruiters had a very successful summer in 2017, bringing in nearly 3,000 NRA members! Let’s keep the momentum going by refining our recruiting strategies to expand our enrollment potential. 

One Recruiter who shined over the summer was Michael Slevnik from Chicago, IL. Michael enlisted 58 members since June 1^st! The most noteworthy aspect of Slevnik’s summer achievements is that although he only mailed in a handful of applications per week, he sent in applications EVERY week. His hard work and consistency is a good example of how anyone can become an elite Recruiter. It is easy to imagine signing up a few members in a week, so set short term goals for yourself and you’ll be pleasantly surprised with your long term results.

In order to remain consistent, always keep the NRA and possible recruiting opportunities on your mind. Some people say, “Luck is where preparation meets opportunity,” so it’s important you are always prepared!  Take the time to organize your supplies, study membership benefits and practice your sales pitch. You can also create your own opportunities by setting up better displays, simply asking people if they are current members and by wearing NRA gear.

Occasional large events can be good avenues for recruiting, but the key to successful recruiting amongst the top instructors is consistency. Push students toward your link, set up a display at the front of your classroom, incorporate dues with your course fees – just be sure to do this every class! Set realistic short term goals and challenge yourself to surpass them. As always, if there is anything I can do to help, please don’t hesitate to ask.
