With a New Year comes a New Chapter for the NRA Recruiting Program! As you all now know, we have restructured our program and I am now the Marketing Representative for every recruiter in the Northern Region. I’m excited to welcome all of the instructors, clubs, ranges, stores, and individual Recruiters to what is now the Northern Region!
To those of you who don’t know me - I started working with the Recruiting Program in the fall of 2016 as a Program Assistant, and have been the Northeast Marketing Representative for Gun Show Recruiters since the spring of 2017. I already learned a lot about how the other types of Recruiters operate from my time working as the Program Assistant, and am looking forward to building on that knowledge as I work with all of you moving forward.
It goes without saying that 2020 will be a big year for us. As a program, as an organization, and voters. Let’s start 2020 off strong by making sure we are prepared and doing everything we can to boost membership and morale!
Refresh and prepare your recruiting set-ups: A fresh display is more inviting and attention grabbing! Order any new table top displays, table cloths, and banners you may need from our Recruiter Supply Site here. If you need anything like sample magazines or literature from any of our Education and Training programs, let me know so I can mail those out to you.
Ensure all member applications are complete and submitted properly: This is so important! To make sure processing goes smoothly on the back end, please double-check all your applications to see that all crucial information is included and the payment information is accurate. This means complete and legible credit card information, correctly addressed checks, and money orders or cashier’s checks instead of cash. As a reminder—do NOT send cash in the mail. We are not liable if anything happens in transit. Applications that are submitted correctly get processed quickly, members get their credentials and magazines sooner, and you get your commission checks sooner.
Remember that communication is key: Everything runs more smoothly when we’re all on the same page. Stay in the loop by signing up for our weekly E-Cruiter e-mails, ILA Updates, and newsletters from any of our other educational departments that you may be interested in so you can keep up with all things NRA. Also, be sure to let us know if anything happening with you. If you move, find new events to attend, if you’re starting a new business, etc. Keep us in the loop, too!
If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re amidst our winter travel season, which means I will frequently be out of office attending hunting and outdoor expos. During this time, e-mail will be the best way to get in touch with me. I’m looking forward to working with all of you in 2020!
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
