Southeast Region Gun Show & Event

Southeast Regional Report: September - October 2013

September 19, 2013

As we enter the last quarter of a record shattering year, I’d like to thank you all again for your hard work in 2013. The southeast region is up 150% over 2012; previously our best year on record. It is truly amazing what we have achieved so far this year and I’m eager to see what we can accomplish in the last quarter of the year.

The slow summer season is behind us and the gun show schedule will pick up very soon. Now is the time to order replacement supplies and to add tablecloths or banners to your display. If you don’t already have these valuable recruiting tools you should invest in them. Table cloths, X-frame signs and banners are a small, but worthwhile, investment as you will look more professional and stand out at crowded gun shows.

It’s a good idea to revisit basic recruiting strategies as we approach the fall and winter season. Always think about your body language. Stand with your arms at your sides or resting on your counter. Crossed arms are perceived as closed minded and standoffish. If you must sit, use a stool so that you can remain at eye level with people for conversation. Finally, if you don’t have your table at counter height, purchase PVC pipe that can fit around the legs of your table. Your counter should be about 42 inches high. This small investment makes it easy and comfortable for people to fill out an application. If you’d like more useful tips, please call or send me an email. I would be more than happy to discuss different strategies with you.
