Southern Regional Report: May - June 2021

Recruiters in the Southern Region have been keeping up the good work in 2021, with a slight overall increase from this time last year! With everything beginning to open back up, now is the time to kick recruiting into full gear. Many Americans are also migrating to southern states in search of more freedoms, so there is a larger population to bring into our fight. Let’s get the momentum going and make the NRA stronger than ever this summer!

One Recruiter that stands out in 2021 is Benton Gun Club out of Benton, AR. The club has enrolled 490 members and brought in more revenue than any other Southern Recruiter, over $25,000! With an average of over $50 per member, Benton has demonstrated their ability to enroll members with multi-year memberships. Contributing to their success is their strategy of requiring NRA membership, enforcing it strictly and sending out custom application mailers to their members. As restrictions are lifted and events, classes and stores open back up, all Recruiters need to collectively ramp up their efforts to increase membership. The current administration is doing anything and everything they can to chip away at our Second Amendment rights, even trying to blame the rise in crime brought on by their policies as a ‘gun problem.’ To defend our right to protect ourselves, it is extremely important to grow NRA membership and overall support as soon as possible!
