Southern Regional Report: March - April 2021

Southern Region Recruiters have been doing a stellar job thus far in 2021, with a 24% increase from this time last year! Since everything began to shut down in March 2020, it’d be a safe bet to say that the percentage will go up even higher through the year. Your efforts are truly appreciated and Recruiters are undoubtedly making a difference for all Second Amendment supporters and gun owners in our great country. As places begin to open back up to regular capacity and restrictions ease, let’s continue to fight for our rights by growing the NRA!

I want to challenge each of you to think about what recruiting strategy might help increase the members you bring in. For example, Joe Cellucci from Leland, NC offers a 5% discount to all NRA members at his store, Port City Outdoors. This is a great way to bring in more members and show how much your business supports the NRA and our mission. There are many different possible strategies that could fit your recruiting circumstances, so please reach out to me if you’d like to discuss all possible options at [email protected].

With all the political changes under the new administration, it’s extremely important we do everything we can to defend our rights. Talk to people about the NRA every chance you get and make sure they know you can offer discounts and help them renew. Many Americans identify as NRA members, but don’t realize their memberships have actually lapsed. Help them remember to renew, sign up their families and even encourage them to join for life! The 2020 Show Recruiter of the Year, Jody Truesdale does a fantastic job with this! He is able to spark a conversation with almost anyone and then bring up the importance of joining the NRA. Moving forward, let’s keep up the good work and make this the best year for the NRA yet!
