Western Regional Report: January - February 2021

Happy 2021!  Thank you all for your hard work and dedication throughout the year; I hope everyone was able to stay safe and healthy.  I know it was tough and you faced a lot of challenges however, the Western Region was still able to recruit over 21,000 members in 2020.

The Manhattan Wildlife Association (MWA) signed up over 1,117 members in 2020, an increase from 870 members in 2019.  NRA membership is required to be a member of the Manhattan Wildlife Association. MWA makes the process easy by including an NRA application along with their club's own application. They also audit their membership list to make sure members are keeping up to date with their NRA membership.  When MWA finds club members with an expired NRA membership, they get them to renew. This is a great example for clubs, ranges, instructors or other types of recruiters to incorporate NRA membership with their own business.

Now that it is the beginning of the year, setting goals is a great way to stay productive and on track.  Aim to beat your memberships from 2020.  Think of ways to add memberships, such as attending a new events, adding a web link to your website; every little bit counts.

Any goal that you set for yourself can be easily attained if you are prepared and work relentlessly to meet your numbers. Make sure that you have plenty of recruiting supplies and to solidify your schedule for the first few months of 2021.  Always be ready to sell members an early renewal as this just adds time onto any remaining months that they may have on their current membership.
