Western Regional Report: March - April 2020

These are unprecedented times and I want to thank you for hanging in there with us. As events continue to be canceled around the country, we need to start thinking outside the box regarding our recruiting efforts.

XIs & XPs – Since this is going to be a slower time for events, gun shows, and training courses, it’s also a good time for some housekeeping. Double check that your own membership is up-to-date and make sure that you are offering the option to become an NRA member to your friends and family. With the current Roll-Back rates, it's the perfect time to sign up anyone who has been putting off joining NRA for one reason or another.  Take advantage of any websites, emails, or social networking with your personalized web link.

XCs – A great way to make sure your club stays 100% NRA is to use a spreadsheet in order to sign up your members; either individually or in batches. Some clubs choose to collect NRA membership dues from all of their members and then submit a list along with a check or credit card number to cover the entire total. All we need to renew their memberships are the names, addresses, and membership numbers (if available) of your club members. I’m sure most of you have a membership database that would be easy to export into an Excel file rather than filling out individual applications for each of your members. XRs & XSs – This is a tough time for you all specifically if you have been forced to close or reduce the hours of your range or store. A strong online presence is going to help sign up extra NRA members and keep you earning commission. Make sure that your recruiting link is prominent on your website and share it to your followers in Twitter and Facebook. Sending out periodic email blasts about local legislative issues or online sales is also a good way to keep your business in the minds of your customers while they’re unable to physically come in.

We are on the cusp of the Presidential Election so it’s imperative that we don’t let these obstacles slow us down. If we all put in the efforts now, we will be able to strengthen our member base for when it really matters this November! As always, let me know if there is any way I can help.
