We're in the midst of a global pandemic and this insidious virus not only dominates all news mediums and cycles, but also influences every aspect of daily life. That said, COVID-19 will undoubtedly have an impact on NRA membership and recruiting.
For the next couple months, recruiting methods and styles will need to be adjusted accordingly. Just about every show and event has been cancelled or postponed. It is no longer a good idea to meet people, shake their hands and explain the benefits of membership face-to-face.
To comply with the reduction strategy of social-distancing, we need to move recruiting efforts online. Push your web link as much as possible on social media and share it in emails to your friends, students, fellow gun club members or any other contacts who might be interested.
If you are an Instructor Recruiter, consider offering a free associate memberships to students who pre-pay for a class in May or later. You can then give them the option to upgrade to a full one-year in person. Each recruiting category will need to adjust to our current circumstances in their own way, and each individual Recruiter will also need to make their own specific modifications.
If you’d like to discuss ideas or what may work best for you, please reach out to me at [email protected]. Stay safe.
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
