Northern Regional Report: March - April 2020

by Hannah Greene, March 26, 2020

Northern Region Recruiter Representative

With the spread of COVID-19, I know many of your daily lives have been heavily impacted. I’m also aware that this has impacted your recruiting efforts and encourage you all to operate with the best interest of your families and communities in mind.

As we are all practicing social distancing and are working from home, let’s give some thought on how to invigorate our online recruiting platforms.

To our stores and ranges – This is a particularly challenging time for those of you who have been forced to reduce your store hours or close completely. For most of you, this nearly eliminates your primary avenue for recruiting as well. Now is a good time reevaluate your online recruiting presence. Make sure that your recruiting link is prominent on your website, and share it to your followers on social media (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). Including your web link in your email blasts to your subscribers is also a great way to draw in more members. If you’d like for me to review your website, social media, or email templates, please reach out and I’d be happy to look them over with you and provide feedback.

To our clubs – Many clubs strive to have 100% NRA Membership, but this can be hard to track or manage with larger clubs. The most efficient way to keep up with your folks’ memberships is to log them in an Excel spreadsheet. Having this clearly organized information can help your club and its recruiting efforts two ways. If you need to verify the current status of your folk’s memberships, we’re able to run that spreadsheet through a program with our IT department to gather member ID numbers and expiration dates. If you need to submit multiple membership renewals at once, simply submit the spreadsheet along with a lump sum payment for their total dues (i.e. with a check or a credit card). Many clubs opt to do this instead of sending in individual membership applications. If you’re interested in using this method, please let me know and I can set you up with a template to use!

To our instructors, individuals, and shows/events Recruiters– We know that events, classes, and anything involving groups of people are being canceled. Use this time to make sure that your house is in order. Ensure your personal membership is up-to-date, and remind your family and friends to renew through you with our current Rollback Rates. If you have a website, make sure that the information on it is current and your web link is prominently placed on it.  If you’re interested in having a Membership on the Go (MOTG) login created and being enrolled in the cash settlement system, let me know and I can work with you to get those done.

Please keep me posted on your schedules—I know store hours, planned events, and class schedules are changing almost daily with the current health crisis. As always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about Recruiting. Be well!
