Western Regional Report: July - August 2020

As we have all seen in the past few months, it’s impossible to predict what our new normal will look like. With each state loosening restrictions at its own pace, I’m relying on you all to keep me up to date on any events going on near you. If you are able to attend gun shows or other events, please reach out to me and let me know what exactly that looks like. Everything is still pretty shut down here in Virginia so any insight you can give me into events across the country, can help me better assist you in your recruiting efforts.

We’re now gearing up for some busier months as states reopen and the election approaches. While major elections always bring in new members, I’d also like to remind you all that your main function is to explain the benefits of being an NRA member. Recruiters should not discuss personal politics outside of the Second Amendment. When in doubt, refer the potential member to our NRA-ILA branch. In addition to https://www.nraila.org/, each region has its own local ILA coordinator who should be able to answer any specific questions – I can provide their contact upon request.

Like I have said in the past, although we are unable to go into Headquarters at this time, we are doing our best to ensure that all day-to-day duties (i.e. processing memberships, mailing supplies, etc.) are taken care of. Continue placing orders for supplies so that you’ll be ready for your next recruiting event when the time comes.
