We’re almost halfway through the year and so far, the Western region has recruited about 7,000 members! Keep up the good work, everyone! We are getting into the summer months now, meaning there will be fewer gun show opportunities. However, gun shows are not the only recruiting opportunities out there! Look out for other events in your area that could be lucrative recruiting opportunities such as state fairs, outdoor events, or even set up at your local gun range. If you need any help securing a specific event to attend, let me know!
No matter what type of event you are attending, keep in mind that the more people you talk to, the more memberships you will sell. Simply asking someone how their NRA membership is can sometimes be all they need to come over to your table and sign up or renew. Remember to keep your display professional and approachable. This includes your table and materials as well as your personal appearance – potential members won’t be as inclined to approach someone who looks disheveled or looks unhappy to be at that event.
As important as it is to get members to sign up, it’s just as important to make sure that the information on the application they fill out is legible, correct, and complete. Make sure you are looking over every application after the member fills them out. Incorrect or incomplete credit card numbers will greatly delay the processing of memberships – meaning you won’t get your commission and the members won’t get their materials.
The Annual Meetings in Indianapolis was the finale of our winter travel season, so I will be more available in the office for the next couple months. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you reach your goals. Let’s keep this momentum going for the remainder of the year!
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
