2019 is off to a promising start for the Northeast Region. 52 of you have already submitted memberships this year! Our yearly challenge for our Recruiters is to "Strive for 25" members. That's only 1 application book worth of memberships. If you didn't reach this goal last year, I encourage you to set your sights on getting those 25. If you know how many memberships you did last year, I challenge you to beat that number by 15%!
This year, take a step back and evaluate your recruiting methods. How are your selling tactics working? Is it time to change it up? As many of you have recognized by now, different tactics work for different individuals.
Table Set Up - How does your table look? Can people passing by tell you’re there to represent the NRA? Is your area tidy and organized, or cluttered and chaotic? You want your space to be approachable, not intimidating.
Personal Appearance - The way you look is just as important as how your table looks. Potential members won’t be as inclined to approach someone who looks disheveled or looks unhappy to be at that event.
Conversation - Be outgoing! Talk to as many people as you can who pass by. The more people you talk to, the more sign ups you will get. Asking questions like “Are you an NRA member?” or “How’s your membership?” are good ways to start the conversation about our organization and getting them to join the fight.
If you have any questions about how to step up your recruiting efforts, don’t hesitate to ask! I’m here to help. I want all of you to be confident in your recruiting efforts and crush your numbers this year.
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
