Clubs Category Report: March - April 2019

NRA Club Recruiters have demonstrated their dedication to the Second Amendment early in 2019, with 444 active clubs enrolling over 7,000 members!  Within the club recruiting category, there's a large variety in organization types.  There are large gun clubs with public ranges and also small hunting clubs formed by groups of lifelong friends.  Many clubs have been recruiting for 25 years, while others are new to the program and just learning how the program works. An important quality shared by all these clubs and associations, however, is their passion for furthering the mission of the NRA and protecting our freedoms.

Benton Gun Club has been around for almost 25 years, and has found a great recruiting strategy.  At the core of Benton’s approach, is what we encourage all Club Recruiters to do; they have found the most successful method to tailor it to their operation by combining club renewals with NRA renewals.  Benton Gun Club mails a custom NRA application attached to the club’s renewal application.

As we press forward in 2019, let’s keep the momentum going so we can continue to make a positive impact on our country.  New Recruiters and longtime Recruiters alike need to be willing to try new strategies until they can find what proves to be most successful.  Remember to try and tie in club renewals to NRA renewals.  Clubs can also work towards becoming a 100% NRA Club, recruit at all events open to the public, have their club members help contribute to the cause and also work harder to push their unique web links.
