Northeast Regional Report: January - February 2019

What a year! As many of you know, our recruiting program started in 1992. In the 26 year history of the recruiting program, we finished 2018 with the 3rd best year on record (behind 2013 and 2016). Altogether, the Northeast region finished the year with roughly 15,000 members. I am immensely proud of the push the Northeast Region has made to finish strong.

2018 was full of challenges. As many of you experienced at your events, there were lower attendance numbers, political complacency, lack of interest amongst potential members, and the added hurdle of having to upsell our memberships without some of the previous membership benefits. However, every single one of you persevered and kept our membership numbers strong.

I’d like to highlight a few Recruiters who branched out to some new events and beat their member totals from 2017:  

• Dale Emerick - 301 members
• Paul Mattson - 295 members
• Ron Salkovick - 270 members
• Chris Bebee - 129 members
• Lori Card - 97 members

I would also like to give a special shout-out to Jerry Eads from Indiana. Jerry enrolled in the program this year but came out of the gates strong and has already signed up 58 members!

As a reminder for the new year, please send me your schedules for all your upcoming gun shows. As always, in order to list in our publications, gun shows must be submitted three months in advance. Also, please make sure you’ve ordered enough supplies to have on hand for your events.

Our team will start our heavy travel season shortly and I will have limited time in the office over the next few months. E-mail is the best way to get in touch; I will do my best to respond to your inquiries as quickly as I can while I’m on the road!
