Western Regional Report: September - October 2018

The Western Region has done a fantastic job this year. We’re seeing steady support coming from members in our region, which is crucial in this political climate. So far you all have signed up a grand total of 12,848 members—only 3% behind the year to date total at this time in 2017. Keep it up!

Ensure you have plenty of supplies as you may see an increased interest in the organization and membership the closer we get to the midterm elections. Now is a great time to recruit gun owners who are not yet NRA members. Use the election as a point of discussion when engaging with potential members at your upcoming events. I encourage all of you to use ILA as a resource in staying up to date in all of your local issues, including the midterm elections. If you’re looking for another talking point to add to your spiel, I recommend NRA Hunting. There are plenty of hunters who attend the events you recruit at and they make up a crucial proportion of our member base. Let them know they aren’t forgotten in our fight! The NRA Hunting program is a prime resource for hunters to use to stay informed on local hunting laws, training and safety courses, booking hunts, and more.
