Western Regional Report: March - April 2018

We are only a few months into 2018 and off to a great start.  18 Recruiters have already signed up over 100 members and many more are close to matching that number.  We have noticed an increase in memberships across the board, meaning your hard work and dedication is paying off.  With proposed anti-gun legislation, people are interested in what we, as an association, have to offer. Make sure you stay up to date with NRA-ILA to help provide the most recent and accurate information to members.

Because of all the anti-gun rhetoric the past few weeks, many Recruiters at gun shows have seen a significant increase in memberships; some have doubled or tripled their numbers compared to previous years.  Be sure that you’re well prepared and have sufficient stock of supplies when you attend gun shows or other events.  The last thing you want is to run out of recruiting materials at a show.  Also, ensure you order supplies well in advance; after supply orders are approved, it can take up to 7-10 business days for them to ship and deliver.

Recently, I’ve seen a lot of 3-year membership applications.  It is great to see multiyear memberships, however, this is not the best deal for the member or for you as a Recruiter.  A 5-year membership is great way to earn a few extra dollars in commission.  This is also the best value for the member as they are only paying $20 per year for their membership.  If someone is signing up for a 3-year membership, upselling them to a 5-year membership should be fairly easy.  Since they are already willing to pay $85 for a 3-year membership, let them know, for only an additional $15, they get two more years of membership.
