XI Category Report: July - August 2018

The politically charged atmosphere these last several months have led to Second Amendment supporters calling to mobilize, and NRA Instructor Recruiters answered.  XI Recruiters stepped up their efforts and are up almost 12% this year.  Let’s keep the momentum going and finish the summer strong, continuing to make a major positive impact on the NRA as we steamroll toward the mid-term elections!

One Instructor Recruiter making a difference is Andrew Hallinan from Inverness, FL.  Andrew has the 4^th most recruits of any instructor with 193 members.  Even more impressive, he only enrolled as a Recruiter on January 30, 2018!  Andrew hit the ground running and immediately implemented advanced recruiting tactics in his classroom.  During the course, a short but powerful NRA video is played.  Then a member of the staff gives a two minute pitch about the importance of the NRA and why every gun owner needs to join.  Then mention of the discount, NRA hat and monthly magazine are icing on the cake.

Moving forward, focus on developing a recruiting mindset, even if you’re not an instructor with a high volume of classes and students.  Challenge yourself to recruit at least one new member a week.  Be ready to take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves.  Enrolling a new member could be as simple as dropping the line, “I’m an NRA Recruiter and can offer you a discount on membership if you’re interested.”  If you see a neighbor with an NRA decal or shirt, remind them that when they need to renew, you have them covered.
