Western Regional Report: July - August 2018

2018 is on track to be one of the best years ever for the Recruiting Department. This fall, we are likely to see an increase in gun show attendance and membership sign-ups. The political climate will also become livelier with developments following the recent Supreme Court nomination and the upcoming midterm elections.

NRA members know how important the makeup of the US Supreme Court is to our fight. Your hard work and support paid off in 2016 during the general election, and it has paid off again with the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. As Wayne LaPierre has said, “You should be proud of your successful defense and protection of the future of our Second Amendment freedoms. The narrow 5-4 majority that recognized a fundamental, individual right to self-defense in the landmark Heller and McDonald decisions will be secured with Kavanaugh's confirmation.”  Remember to acknowledge these political victories we’ve achieved as an organization while talking to potential members. We’ll need to maintain this momentum during the midterm elections.

Make sure you are mailing in your applications as soon as possible.  Members join because they are excited to support a cause they believe in and play their part.  Recruiters, help ensure we get membership credentials and magazine out to members as quickly as possible.  You are required to get your applications in the mail to us on a weekly basis.  The quicker we receive them, the quicker the member gets their credentials in the mail, and the quicker you receive your commission check.
