With the most favorable political conditions since the Bush administration, we must continue to make adjustments in order to grow the NRA and restore our Second Amendment rights. Motivational speaker, Simon Sinek once said, “Focus on long term success but be willing to make short term adjustments to get there.”  This could be a simple shift, such as finding new ways to sell NRA memberships, or asking current members to become life members.

A great example is Shooters World in Tampa, Florida. Recently, they encouraged their cashiers to ask every customer to join or renew at the register. Since doing so, they have sold more members in one month than they did all last year! This small adjustment reaped huge rewards. Look for adjustments that need to be made and take the opportunity to make them.

During the Bush administration, we saw an increase in annual members making the jump to life membership. Try asking family, friends, and acquaintances who are NRA members if they would like to become a life member or extend their membership. Sometimes all that is required is to simply ask. Who knows, a new life member could be right in front of you!     

Both of these small shifts can drastically help your recruiting efforts, and the NRA. Long term success requires us to take advantage of every opportunity to bring in new members, or extend current memberships. Thank you all for your support.
