XC Category Report: January - February 2017

Club Recruiters across the country have done an outstanding job to make 2016 a truly successful year.  Overall, the XC category increased 21% from 2015!  To keep the momentum going, clubs can focus on growing NRA by signing up club guests, running local membership drives and by encouraging club members to renew with multi-year or Life memberships.

The Manhattan Wildlife Association (MWA) led the way for clubs in 2016, signing up 1663 members!  MWA has consistently obtained stellar recruiting numbers by taking advantage of their club’s mailers.  Since the club regularly mails out content to its members, it doesn’t cost much to include an approved NRA application.  Every club has a different strategy that works best, and Manhattan Wildlife Association is working on perfecting their techniques.

Moving forward, encourage your members to renew with multi-year or Life memberships.  Long term memberships save your members money over time and save you the hassle of verifying their NRA membership is current.  With the favorable political atmosphere, NRA needs our full support to impact legislation, including laws related to national reciprocity and suppressors.  Multi-year and Life memberships help make sure we have all the necessary tools to take advantage of our present situation.  Consider offering incentives to those who renew long-term, even if only a discount on their annual club dues.
