Greetings to all recruiters in the Western region. As we work toward the end of the year there are still plenty of attractive options for recruiting outside of gun shows to boost your 2015 numbers. Major sporting goods chains, local gun shops and sporting goods shops, swap meets, motorcycle rallies or local fairs are all great venues to meet potential members! Gary Benefield found 115 new members at an air show in Kansas City! This proves that NRA members can be anywhere. Seeking out new but non-traditional events can be very lucrative and provide ample opportunity to recruit many individuals.
Hunting and fishing stores provide a great opportunity for obvious reasons, especially during hunting season. Spanning two weekends, one in July and another in August, Rob Potter was able to recruit 154 members! Many similar opportunities still exist with major chains. If you have something particular in mind, contact me and I will put you in contact with the right person.
It is always important to be armed with information regarding what the NRA is doing to protect our 2nd Amendment. A very useful website for obtaining this information is www.nraila.org. Keeping relevant to the season, hservices.nra.org is another great resource for gathering information to help self-sufficient hunters see the need of NRA.
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
