Western Regional Report: November - December 2015

Congratulations to the Western Region! I want to thank everyone for their hard work so far in 2015. The numbers are up thanks to a consistent individual gain from almost every Recruiter. Gary Benefield and Carl Hayes have already recruited 400 more members than last year and the Utah Rifle & Pistol Association is up 150 members. As it stands now we are on track to exceed last year’s recruitment numbers. Let’s give a solid push through the end of the year to make sure we beat 2014.

As we move into a new year, take a moment to reflect on what made you successful this past year and how you can grow from that success. We must make 2016 another year of growth for membership and the variety of events at which we recruit. We’ve witnessed recruiters working music festivals, motorcycle rallies and air shows with great success this year.  While gun shows will always be our bread and butter, we must be open to new events if we want to attract new members into our organization.

With the 2016 presidential election looming and democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton releasing her first ad targeting gun control there will be a lot of excitement around your tables. Knowledge is power; do the research and educate your fellow gun owners. I suggest you sign up for the Institute of Legislative Action (ILA) email alerts on the website at www.nra-ila.org to stay informed. Let’s finish out 2015 strong and get ready for a busy 2016.
