Southeast Regional Report: November - December 2015

As we continue to gear up for one of our toughest battles yet, keep in mind that we will each play a pivotal role in the outcome of upcoming elections and, ultimately our future. I’d like each of you to visualize your potential recruiting opportunities and develop unique ways to reach the freedom loving citizens of our nation.

As recruiters, developing a plan that fits your target market is essential to the continuous growth of our organization.  For example:

• If you’re recruiting NRA members at a Tea Party rally, I encourage you to review NRAILA.org to ensure you’re up to date on political topics and currents events. Additionally, do not hesitate to contact your local NRA-ILA Election Volunteer Coordinator (EVC).  Have a sample of America’s 1st Freedom and other informative fact cards from ILA on hand for potential members’ reference.
• If you’re recruiting at a hunting show, be sure to inform potential members about our NRA Hunter Services and NRA Range Services. Inform them of our efforts in developing advanced training for youth hunters and researching tactics for safe and successful hunting. Having a sample issue of American Hunter available could serve as a great ice-breaker to generate a conversation.

While identifying your customer’s interests don’t forget to mention the benefits of NRA membership.  Among them; $2,500 in ArmsCare firearm insurance that covers theft, accidental loss, and damage of firearms, air guns, bows, and arrows. By emphasizing a benefit you find unique to each prospective member, our organization will continue to grow stronger.

Finally, everyone likes to save money. Now, more than ever, utilize the special discounted rates to help you close your sales. What’s better than $10 off a one-year membership? How about $15 off a three-year membership, $25 off a five-year membership, or $250 off a Life membership!  The more the customer feels the membership is personalized towards them the more likely they are to join. Reminder - membership prices will increase in 2016. 1 YR - $40, 3 YR- $100, 5 YR- $140.  However, you may continue to sell them at the current specials until you hear different from us.
