Western Regional Report: May - June 2015

With my busy travel season in the rearview mirror, I will have ample time to touch base with all of you to work on strengthening NRA. While complacency has set in with a lot of people, now is when ALL of us can truly make a difference. Our goal is to communicate that there is no end game to this fight; it will be a battle regardless of who is in office. Keep in mind our operation is a numbers game; the more people you ask to join, the more that will. We can’t sit back at gun shows and expect people to seek you out and voluntarily join. That would be nice, but it’s not reality.  Explain the importance of joining and what we stand for to every person who walks by your table. We must be proactive and outgoing in this current climate.

Much to no one’s surprise, Hillary Clinton announced she will be seeking her party’s nomination for President in 2016.  While the media has been focusing on donations the Clinton Foundation has received, Hillary has already been at work aligning herself with anti-gunners (see the story here). As we learned from the first time we had a Clinton in the White House, they will stop at nothing to disarm law abiding gun owners. Many fringe groups seeking to strip away our rights are beginning to mobilize in hopes of electing Hillary.  They are planning with the election of our first female President, they can finally achieve their long term goal of gun control. Now is the time to get gun owners fired up about the fight we will have over the next year and a half as we strive to change leadership in Washington and the direction of this country! The current administration has never wasted on opportunity to attack the Constitution and the 2^nd Amendment. You can believe that under eight years of another Clinton regime, these attacks will only continue.
