Greetings and Happy New Year! With the passing of the holiday season, I want to thank everyone for your 2014 recruiting efforts. Without the countless hours and energy spent by all of you, the NRA would not be what it is today. However, the battle continues. Unfortunately, as we all know, the anti-gun crowd is relentless. This is why we need to stay one step ahead. 2015 needs to be another productive year.
A good way to ensure success is to set goals. Goals help you measure your efforts and provide a trackable method of achievement. First, look at how many members you signed up last year. Always strive to increase the number of recruits from the year prior. Second, set a yearly goal then break it down from there: recruits per month, per event, etc. I am very optimistic each recruiter can gain 5 to 10 more members per event, greatly increasing the chances of meeting your goals.
Proper preparation is key to a successful 2015. To best service the crowds, having at least two people behind the table works best. With only one person you will miss opportunities. Stuffing of bags with hats before the show can also limit the amount of time a member spends in front of your table and allows you to quickly move to the next sale.
Increased member counts are attainable if you are properly prepared and strive to meet your preset goals. The combination of energized recruiters and accommodating venues will lead to another successful year in the Western Region. I am confident 2015 will be another banner year.
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
