Southeast Regional Report: September - October 2014

Once again the Southeast Region is recruiting at a tremendous rate due to your continued hard work! We must continue to add members to surpass our goals as we steamroll toward the midterm elections. Here are a few promotions that have been successful and can help increase your member recruitment totals.

Two for One Membership- This is a sales promotion that is a simple spinoff of our current price promotions and has seemed to really catch the eye of prospective members.  When approached by a couple, pair of friends or siblings, a good way to get both signed up is to offer two memberships for the price of one. One person will sign up for the $25 one-year while the other can sign up for the $10 associate. Two memberships for $35!

Easy Pay Life (EPL) Plan-Some of you may not know just how easy our Easy Pay Life (EPL) plan is. It’s a great way to sign up life members who can’t afford the lump sum of $750. The next time you’re finalizing a 1, 3, or 5 year membership, ask the member if they’ve heard of the “easy pay life” option. Tell them that for the price they’ve just agreed to pay, you can start them off on a life membership. They’re not going to wake up one day and decide not to be a member right? So why not have them work towards a life membership instead of paying year-to-year? Remember, with the EPL plan there is no interest. This is important to know because some people hear “plan” and automatically assume interest is involved. With the EPL plan, members will receive a notice every 3 months asking for a $25 payment. THIS IS NOT A BILL; there is no penalty for missing a payment. If the member does not pay for 9 months, the membership is downgraded to annual and the member is given a year of membership for every $25 payment received. Remember that every sign up is an opportunity to sell a life membership!
