Central Regional Report: September - October 2014

Thank you to the Central region recruiters for working hard to have another great summer of recruiting. Many of you have made major sacrifices to attend State and County fairs, car/bike rallies, concerts, festivals and store openings. These are great ways to keep the memberships rolling in when the gun show season slows down. So far this year, we have signed up almost 16,000 members in the Central region! We must keep pushing hard to finish the year strong. The NRA has begun mailings for the upcoming elections and launched commercials all over T.V. and radio. This is prime time to educate folks about our mission and how they can help us attain those goals.   

The fall season brings many different shows and events which we must use to raise awareness of our cause and get members signed up. Make sure to contact your show promoters and let them know you are ready to go. If you are unhappy with booth location at previous shows, let the promoter know. We offer a free service to promoters by posting their shows in our magazines and a good booth location is not too much to ask for. While you are talking to these promoters, ask about setting up out front for a Get-In-Free. This offers promoters another way to support the organization that ensures their ability to continue to host gun shows. If you have any questions about arranging an event like this or need help doing so, please ask me and we can work to make it happen.

This slow time between summer and fall is an excellent time to make any repairs or upgrades to your booth set-up. If you have any questions or concerns about your set-up or just need help making it look more professional and give you more credibility, call me and we can figure out what we need to do. Speaking of presentation, let’s just remember that the folks at these shows see you as the face of the NRA. You are their personal connection to HQ and we need to portray ourselves in a professional manner.
