Congratulations! The 2013-2014 winter season a smashing success. Both our recruiter shows and staff shows brought in a lot of members resulting in more NRA strength! A special thanks for those of you that stepped up and gave some of your time to volunteer at one of our many staff shows throughout the Northeast. Without folks like you going above and beyond we wouldn’t be able to put up the numbers we need to combat Bloomberg and his cache of ‘anti-gun money’.
Now that the winter gun show season is behind us you may find yourself without events to recruit at. This is normal, but it is not necessary! During the summer months, be creative and open minded about different events. With the mid-term elections around the corner it is very possible to keep up the winter membership momentum through summer. Have you considered recruiting at fairs, flea markets, political rallies, local sporting good stores, events that your local VFW is hosting? Anywhere that you set up presents a recruiting opportunity and may just be ‘the next big thing’ in rustling up support. Feel free to share my email or telephone number with folks running events if they need verification that you are an official NRA Recruiter.
I would like to acknowledge Craig Holdren and his recruiting efforts while defending the cause at the 2nd Amendment Action Day Rally in Harrisburg, PA this past April. The rally was organized by Firearm Owners Against Crime in cooperation with State Representative Daryl Metcalfe. Beaver County Sportsmen’s Conservation League also sponsored some buses to help bring in additional support. Events like these are perfect recruiting opportunities.
As always please keep usin the loop regarding events that you are attending.
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
