It’s hard to believe but the first half of 2014 is already behind us! At this point you should have a good idea of what is needed to hit the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year. If more opportunities are needed, explore non gun show opportunities such as outdoor shows, sporting goods store and, since it is an election year, political rallies. These types of opportunities will take you above and beyond your goals. Since March, Gary Dolinka of Arizona has recruited over 200 members at his local Sportsmen’s Warehouse. And Bob Barfus of California has brought in 500 members recruiting at Bass Pro Shop! You too can achieve these kinds of results by going out and finding new venues!
All Recruiters must strive to remit membership applications on time. You are given seven days after a show to send memberships in for processing. It’s also very important that all information on the application is filled out completely and correctly. Over the past few months there have been many applications with inaccurate credit card numbers, incomplete addresses and junior memberships without birthdates. Tracking down the correct information from headquarters takes time and will delay processing even further. These people are excited to be members of an organization that supports a cause they deeply care about! The faster they receive their credentials and benefits the happier they will be making it far more likely they will seek you out come renewal time.
Our summer travel season has kicked off. Keep up all of your fantastic work and let’s keep winning the fight!
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
