It is hard to believe but the summer season is over and the fall is here! There are still plenty of potential members out there to sign up these last few months of the year. Our region is up 79% when compared to 2012. Let’s make it our goal that, by the end of the year, we make it to an even 100%.
I have written about branching out to new events and how they can increase your recruiting totals. Fall is the perfect time to reach out to people who may not be attending gun shows. Retail shops, swap meets and fall festivals all have individuals that may want to sign up for the NRA, but have never been put on the spot to do so. You may not always be able to secure a free table at some of these local events. Nevertheless, most of these events offer a cheap reservation fee and it only takes a minimal amount of memberships to recoup your expense for the space.
It’s always a great idea to keep yourself armed with up-to-date information so that we can keep our members informed of what issues are affecting their gun rights. The number one question that we receive at show is “What is the NRA doing for me?” NRA-ILA’s website <www.nraila.org> should be your first stop to obtain information regarding what is being done to protect gun owners. As we approach hunting season, visit http://www.nraila.org/hunting for a wide range of information that will be useful for the hunter. As always, I am here to help you in any way that I can. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me.
The NRA Recruiting program provides a great opportunity for NRA members to strengthen the NRA by increasing membership and earn extra money at the same time!
