When recruiting, always keep in mind that while it’s important to talk to everyone, it’s easy to get sidetracked. Keep the conversation NRA driven.
Many people you meet have the tendency to be long-winded and may want to talk about politics, the weather or the local sports team. However, no matter what topic you are discussing, returning the conversation to a NRA focus will improve your chances of signing up another member. At the same time, sales pitches should be short and sweet. Potential members may lose interest if you go on a tangent.
Many people are ready to sign up as soon as they approach you, and talking for too long can drive them off. Use your conversations as “ammo” for reasons the prospective member should sign up for the NRA!
