NSSF, the trade association for the firearm industry, reported that nearly 5 million Americans purchased a firearm for the very first time in 2020, and 40% of all firearms sales were purchasers who have never previously owned a firearm.

Several recruiting opportunities exist to sign up these brand new firearm owners as NRA members! Retailers, ask every customer during the point-of-sale if he or she would like to join. Instructors and Clubs, many new firearm owners will be looking for safety and personal protection classes, ranges, or new clubs to join.

Gun shows and other recruiting events continue to vary by city, county or state. Show Recruiters with upcoming events should contact their Marketing Representative so they can approve any large orders and keep an eye on incoming membership applications.
